About this range
Match the entire bolted joint
Pipe flanges create a removable connection between pipes, valves and equipment nozzles. JINYI’s industrial pipe flanges range includes weld neck, long weld neck, slip-on, threaded, plate and blind flanges, together with spectacle blinds and drawing-based rings or blanks. Select the flange as part of a joint with compatible gaskets, fasteners and mating faces. The nominal diameter and a pressure-class label are not enough to confirm interchangeability. ASME pipe flanges and EN-pattern flanges require their own dimensional and rating checks.
- ASME B16.5 covers Classes 150–1500 in NPS 1/2–24 and Class 2500 in NPS 1/2–12. These are standard scope limits, not a blanket statement of JINYI stock or manufacturing capacity.
- For larger ASME-pattern connections, B16.47 covers NPS 26–60. Identify Series A or Series B because the dimensions must match the mating flange.
- A flange Class is a rating designation, not the allowable pressure in psi. Determine allowable pressure from the specified material and temperature table.
- Match RF, FF or RTJ facing with the correct gasket system and mating equipment. Specify sealing-surface finish and groove details where applicable.
- For weld neck flanges, identify pipe OD, bore, wall thickness or schedule and weld-end preparation. A matching bolt circle does not establish a matching weld end.
- Treat plate flanges, forged flanges, spectacle blinds and tube sheets as distinct product forms. A ring blank is not automatically a pressure-rated finished flange.

Bore, facing and bolt-circle accuracy
Carbon steel pipe flanges to ASME B16.5 need a defined material specification as well as dimensional compliance. For stainless steel pipe flanges for process piping, give the exact grade and service conditions instead of relying on a generic stainless description. The purchase drawing should identify outside diameter, thickness, hub geometry, bore, bolt circle, hole count and face finish. Special rings, blanks and heat-exchanger tube sheets belong to a drawing-controlled route with their own engineering requirements; catalogue similarity is not a design approval.

Four checks before specifying pipe flanges
Use these checks to define the pipe flanges assembly before comparing prices. Record the decision against the drawing revision and obtain confirmation of the proposed model’s limits.
- Establish the standard Confirm dimensional standard, edition, flange type, nominal size, pressure designation and facing.
- Define material and bore Specify material grade, heat-treatment condition, pipe wall, bore and any corrosion allowance.
- Check the mating assembly Compare bolt circle, hole size, gasket seating, bolting and available assembly clearance.
- Approve inspection scope Agree dimensional report, material documents, additional NDT or PMI and the marking requirements.
Dimensions and service conditions should be agreed before ordering.
Carbon steel pipe flanges to asme b16.5
For pipe flanges, send the standard and edition, type, DN/NPS, Class/PN, facing, material grade and bore or pipe schedule. Add design pressure and temperature, gasket and bolting requirements, quantities, inspection scope and any mating-equipment drawing.
- Weld neck interfaces Include bore tolerance, weld bevel, hub dimensions and the mating pipe schedule on the enquiry drawing.
- Blind flanges and isolation State blind-flange or line-blank type, pressure/temperature duty and the required gasket-face configuration.
- Rings and plate blanks Supply OD, ID, thickness, flatness, machining allowance and whether the item is a blank or a finished component.
- Tube sheets Provide the tube-hole layout, pitch, ligament requirements, drilling tolerances and the governing exchanger design.
Send drawings and the item schedule with your enquiry.
Inspection requirements for pipe flanges
Flange inspection should verify the features that control alignment and gasket seating. The applicable standard and approved drawing define tolerances. Request material traceability and the agreed inspection documents; dimensional conformity should not be described as an ASME or ISO certification.

Discuss your specification
Service and installation
Include these conditions with the pipe flanges enquiry. A useful comparison checks technical compliance, inspection scope and installation requirements before comparing unit price.
Discuss your specificationSelection questions
Is Class 150 the same as 150 psi?
No. A flange class identifies a group of pressure–temperature ratings. The allowable pressure depends on material, temperature and the applicable standard table.
Will ASME and EN flanges bolt together?
Do not assume so. Compare outside diameter, bolt circle, holes, facing and gasket dimensions against the actual mating drawing, even where nominal sizes appear similar.
Need help with a specific drawing? Include the service conditions in your enquiry.
Discuss your specificationInstallation questions
Which flange is used to close a line?
A blind flange closes a flanged opening. A spectacle blind is a different isolation component installed between flanges; its dimensions and handling arrangement must suit the joint.
Can a machined ring be called a rated flange?
Only when the finished design, material, manufacture and inspection meet the required specification. A ring blank or tube sheet has a different function and should retain its own drawing identity.
